Nyjah Huston Smartens Up for GQ Ensemble

Nyjah_Suit2Nyjah Huston teamed up with GQ at the Venice skatepark for a GQ fashion shoot / skate tutorial earlier this month. GQ’s angle was to take runway fashion looks that might run into the thousands of dollars and recreate them for “cheap,” i.e. – in the hundreds of dollars. See below each image for descriptions of how they achieved that. Ultimately it’s interesting to see the winningest skateboarder in history make the full metamorphosis from dreaded hippy skate rat to Mr. Right. Not unlike the transformation that the flying tomato made recently for s similar Venice skatepark session that preceded a high and tight appearance on the VMA red carpet.

Prices are Sliding Fast
We’ve been very vocal about how we think the plaid suit is pretty much the coolest suit out there this fall. But if you’re not ready to drop a couple of mortgage payments testing that theory, Topman can help you ease in.

Suit, $495 by Topman. Polo shirt, $70 by Ben Sherman. Boots, $115 by Steve Madden.

The Hunt for Affordable Style
This look made us think, “Yes! every man should dress like he can handle a wine list and a shotgun.” Then we thought: “Damn, those clothes are pricey.” So we scoured the stores until we found a low-cost solution.

Rock-Star Fashion on a Garage-Band Budget
Saint Laurent designer Hedi Slimane channeled the grunge era for his fall runway look. And now you can channel 1991 prices when you cop your back-in-style toggle coat and ripped jeans.

Coat, $130 by Gap. Sweater, $100 by United Colors of Benetton. Jeans, $40 by American Eagle Outfitters. Boots, $152 by Selected Homme on ASOS.
