“Norm’s Diner” Dodges Bullett with Decent Skateboarding Commercial

Norms_Sunset_Commercial_Venice_SkateparkThere’s been a flurry of activity at the Venice Skatepark lately – Esquire just did a shoot with skateboarder Nyjah Huston. Now Norm’s Restauant is getting in on the action with this skateboarding-inspired commercial for their drunken diner food. The scene is simple. An average day at the skatepark. A not-so-average young girl is ripping lines around the bowl. A kooky beefcake jock, padded from tip-to-tail sees said girl and decides that rather than “dropping in” at the park, he’s going to “drop in” at Norm’s instead. Along the way he nabs the Megan Fox look-alike who undoubtedly prefers a steak-eating strong-man over some skinny rat boy skater. It’s actually kind of funny because it’s admittedly true-to-form. Tail taps on the coping for Norms for not making a mockery of it all.
