The Monster Energy Cup is the biggest event in motocross of the autumn season. It’s between the AMA Outdoor summer season and the winter Supercross season. Held for the last three years at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, the Monster Energy Cup attracts thousands of motocross fans and riders of all ranks. The grand finale is the 450 showdown which consists of three separate motos. If one rider wins all three motos, like Ryan Villopoto did in 2011, they win $1 million. This year that didn’t happen but James Stewart took first place overall and got $100,000 for his effort. Not bad for a days work.
