Gnarbox is the Future of Digital Media Editing & Sharing

Gnarbox is a digital media solutions tool that enables any photographer or videographer to seamlessly download, edit and share media on the fly without a laptop.

Solving the problem of “lots of footage, but no time to edit,” Gnarbox enables content creators to quickly process and share content in the field, on-the-go and in full, HD resolution.

It’s compatible with essentially every type of file and footage, from your GoPro and DSLR to pro DV from Sony and Panasonic.

The device was envisioned by co-Founder Tim Fees (CEO) and Will Africano (CMO) and brought to life with fellow co-founders, Jason Stelzel (VP of Development) and Patrick MccGuire (CTO).

In the year that the team have been developing prototypes they’ve recruited a number of BETA testers in the form of pro athletes and pro photographers, ranging from skiers Tom Wallisch and Chris Davenport to editor Grayson Schaffer.

Pro snowboarder extraordinaire, Travis Rice, has come onboard as well as Chief Brand Ambassador and had nothing but positive things to say.

“There is so much content shot daily by so many people that never sees the light of day. I sit on literally ten hard dives of content that I’ve never shared with anyone. One of the greatest joys of my life is to get outdoors with friends and capture moments, and the other aspect is to share those moments.

“What I love about Gnarbox is its the fastest way to get all the content off my camera. We usually shoot in the highest resolution possible. With a simple hotspot connection I can actually edit full, high-res, up to 4K footage, on my smartphone,” Rice said.

The breakthrough of editing high-res footage on a smartphone was made possible by packing the power of a laptop into a device about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

The insides of the water and impact-proof case are a quad core, 2.2 GHZ CPU, 8 core 3D GPU, 4 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage.

The steps are simple:

1. Upload footage to Gnarbox via USB3, microSD or SD card
2. Connect smartphone to Gnarbox hotspot
3. Use Gnarbox app on smartphone to view, backup, organize, and edit
4. Use Gnarbox to upload and share to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook Youtube, Vimeo and Dropbox

The editing suite is robust and includes slowmo, color correction, cropping, brightness & contrast.

All this initial R&D has setup the Gnarbox crew with a tested and marketable product. To get them across the finish line they launched a Kickstarter campaign on July 14th with a goal of raising $100,000. They’ve since shattered that mark and are continuing to raise money until August 14th.

With dozens of positive and exuberant comments from content producers on the Kickstarter campaign, Gnarbox seems poised to be the biggest product launch to hit the web since the Lily drone.

Considering the millions of GoPro cameras and smartphones that consumers carry around, Gnarbox will no doubt enjoy smashing success by the time its March 2016 delivery date is reached.

The Gnarbox is currently available for pre-order at $149, 40% off is suggested MSRP. It’s super early bird special price of $99 and it’s regular early bird special of $129 are already sold out.

So get it NOW or get in line.
