East Coast Surfing at Its Finest in “Reflection of Five”

The East Coast isn’t the easiest place to be a surfer. Mostly cold, mostly flat, mostly crowed and sometimes polluted. Yet when September rolls around, hurricane season ramps up and the perfect competition of warm water, pumping ground swell and offshore winds make places like Hatteras, Jersey, Long Island and New England good to epic on a daily basis.

Brett Barley assembles a bunch of clips from five named storms of recent years to get the locals hyped for Hurricane swell and frothy brown water barrels.

And of course it wouldn’t be a good surf video without some low-fi garage band garbage that brings you straight back to high school.
