Experience Ultimate Snowboarding in Japan with Vistas Tours & Pro Nicolas Mueller

If you’re thinking about planning a shred trip this winter to a far off land, then you may want to seriously consider Japan. When cold continental air comes off Mongolia/China and hits the Sea of Japan, it creates a massive lake effect, which dumps mountains of powder on Japan’s northern island of Honshu. The area around Honshu’s largest city, Sapporo, is known for having some of the world’s deepest and best snow.

Getting to Japan may be intimidating for some, but the crew at Vistas Tours is now making it easy. They’ve created a week-long tour of the Sapporo area including resort riding, backcountry and cat-skiing that will get you to the goods in style.

This year they’ve even teamed up with legendary pro snowboarder Nicolas Mueller, who will be riding for a couple of days at two of the three January camps.

DEEP WEEK SAFARI – HOKKAIDO, JAPAN

SESSION 1 2-9 JANUARY 2016 RIDE & DINE WITH NICOLAS MÜLLER
SESSION 2 9-16 JANUARY 2016 RIDE & DINE WITH NICOLAS MÜLLER
SESSION 3 16-23 JANUARY 2016

The price comes in at approximately US$3,200, which covers hotels, local transportation and meals for 7 days but doesn’t cover your flights or Saki tab. Figure the whole thing will run $5k if you’re flying from the North America or Europe.

Obviously that will weed out those on a budget (go to the West Coast instead #ElNino), but for those with means, this is no doubt the trip of a lifetime.
