DC SHOES: HIT & RUN WHISTLER, BC

The final stop of the DC Hit & Run at Whistler-Blackcomb, BC last weekend. The event combined the speed and turns of a traditional banked slalom with the trickery and skills of a slopestyle and pipe event. A rider’s ultimate goal was to get down the course as fast as they can while being judged on three freestyle features (40ft jump, rail section, and a mandatory 2 hit pipe run). The Whistler course was steep with deep smooth bowl turns that had the 80+ competitors more managing their speed than milking for speed. This event concluded the Winter 2016 three stop series and left everyone looking forward to next season.
