2016 – 2017 Good Wood Snowboard Test Video Preview016 – 2017 Good Wood Snowboard Test Video Preview

We hand selected a ripping crew of 30 elite testers from across the country to ride and rate over 100 boards for our 18th annual Good Wood, the world’s most comprehensive snowboard test. Our testers traveled from far-reaching locations and met for a week at Carinthia Parks at Mount Snow, Vermont, for the park board test. Carinthia boasts nine different parks, so our testers rode jumps, big and small, hit loads of features including log jams and wall rides, and got creative on a boatload of boxes and rails.

Following Carinthia, our crew headed off to a little place called Aspen for the all-mountain board test. Nearly a foot of fresh fell just before we got there, then the sun came out, which created a mix of conditions. Testers shredded everything from pow and slush to crust and corduroy, which made for an awesome all-mountain board test. Aspen has plenty of varied terrain and the longest run is three miles from top to bottom, so testers had plenty of mountain to put boards through the wringer.

Thanks to Carinthia at Mount Snow, Aspen/Snowmass, Anon Optics, The House, Darn Tough Vermont, Jaybird Sport, Click Carabiner, Aspen Brewing Company, Vermont Coffee Company, and Kind Bars for their support for this year’s Good Wood Test.
