Is Malibu the Most Dangerous Wave in California?

Last week’s large south swell proved that California has still got the goods. It also proved that the fabled Malibu right point is probably the most dangerous break in California. Not because of its heavy sets or jagged rocks, but it’s heavy crowds and jaded locales. Over 200 on 1st and 2nd point on Monday when the swell peaked with 5-10 guys taking off on each makeable wave. Wear a helmet or head for hills. Or at least have a sense of humor.
