Filmmaker Captures Incredible Footage of Blue Whale

The Blue Whale is the largest creature that’s ever lived. Approaching 100 feet in length and weighing over 180 tons, Blue Whales are a sight to behold.

Such is the opinion of filmmaker Patrick Dykstra, who was able to fulfill a life-long ambition of filming the majestic Blue up close using a drone.

“Nothing on Earth compares to the experience of being side by side with the largest animal to ever inhabit the planet and to dive into its environment,” Dykstra, 35, told the Daily Mail. “I use my photography and videography to help study these animals in hopes of understanding and protecting them.”
