Corbet’s Couloir – Broken Femur to Freeskiing Champion

Growing up as a ski patroller’s son, “daycare” was a term that loosely applied to Forrest Jillson. At just nine years old, going on avalanche reduction routes and skiing Corbet’s with his father was a normal part of growing up with Jackson Hole as a playground. In 2007 after years of pushing the limit in his favorite couloir, Corbet’s bit back and left Forrest with a broken femur. Doctors told him he would never ski the same again. That was the ordinary prognosis; what Forrest went on to achieve was truly extraordinary.
