First Snowboard Video Dates BAck to 1939

According to youtube member burgie8, his grandfather Gunnar Burgson, and two other co-inventors Harvey Burgeson and Vern Wicklund, created the first snowboard in 1939. They also apparently hold a U.S. patent for it. Too bad they weren’t as good at marketing as there were filing patents. HEre’s the video of said invention circa 1940 (no sound).
