Kings and Queens of Corbet’s 2021 Highlight | Jackson Hole

The fourth annual Kings and Queens of Corbet’s competition results are in, and this year’s King and Queen of Corbet’s have been crowned.

Last Thursday, twenty-six athletes from around the world put on their best show for a lucky crowd in Tensleep Bowl who witnessed double backflips, nose butters, huge methods, and an incredible wall ride by Hans Mindnich.

“The event was incredible. The athletes took skiing and riding to a whole new level this year,” stated JHMR Senior Events and Partnership Manager Jess McMillan. “We had a challenging weather window (it just keeps snowing!), not to mention pulling an event off like this in times of COVID.  It’s a true testament to the dedicated staff, athletes, and partners to execute such an amazing competition this winter. We are so grateful,” said McMillan.

This peer-judged event was evaluated by the competitors during a film review on Saturday evening. In the scoring process, athletes review each other’s runs in a private screening, and the overall impression is scored from 1-10. Scores were based on speed and degree of difficulty, innovation, and controlled and completed landings.

In the women’s division, Madison Blackley snagged first place, while Audrey Hebert took second, followed by Zoë Vernon in third.

In the men’s division, Karl Fostvedt was crowned king, while Hans Mindnich took second, followed by Jake Hopfinger in third.

The winners will take home some prize money: $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $3,000 for third place.
