Skier’s Terrifying Fall Into Crevasse in French Alps
Check out this scary video of a skier falling into a crevasse in France. Dropping into a bowl the skier, Benjamin Spilthooren, broke through the upper layer of snow and penetrated up to his chest. The black hole of the crevasse can be seen below. A few anxious moments pass while Spilthooren attempts to climb out, before his grip/footing gives way and he plummets further into the chasm. Nearly 20 minutes pass before rescuers are safely able to extract him.
