Speedriding Through the French Alps is Badass
Skiing down the French Alps is scary enough. Jagged exposure, crevasse, whiteout conditions, cliffs of death, etc. However, when one skis, at least, they have both feet planted on the ground (mostly). Now take “speedriding,” the act of paragliding down a mountain with skis on, which enables the actor to “touch down” on the snow at high speed, before bouncing and gliding over the next peak. It’s really quite exhilarating to watch, if not a little bonkers. In this clip, French hellman Valentin Delluc bombs down Glacier des Bossons while trailing his comrade and giving us vertigo.
