More Footage of Great White Rescued Off Chatham, MA
More footage of the Great White rescued of the beaches of Chatham, MA on July 13 surfaced showing what happened after harbor patrol left the sand bar. Sharks need forward motion and water running over their gills to breath, and most fish species will be exhausted after a long fight. Hence the harbor patrol and scientists tied a rope around the shark and gently towed him out to open water before the animal finally regained its strength and swam off. Hooray!
