Watch Owen Wright’s Two Perfect 10s at Fiji Pro

Australian Owen Wright scored two perfect 10s in his Round 5 heat against fellow aussie Adam Melling. Wright caught back-to-back massive left-hand barrels, for a perfect two wave score of 20, the first time Wright achieved such a feat in his pro surfing career and only the seventh time it was done in the history of the sport.

In commenting on his achievement he said, “Pretty hard to describe how good it is out there right now.”

Kelly Slater, who lost his Round 5 heat, looking on said, “It was pretty awesome. Owen’s such a great surfer and barrel rider. I always rate his as one of the best and especially in big barreling lefts. That was awesome.”
