Could Skatercross Be the Next Big Thing?

Pro skater Andy MacDonald launched a kickstarted campaign to develop the sport of skatercross, which, like boardercross, is a sideways-standing race to the finish line requiring skaters to negotiate jumps, bumps, berms, turns and each other. It looks pretty fun actually and we wouldn’t be surprised to see this in the next X Games.

At the very least it could provide the Red Bull Signature Series some new content and save us from watching skateboarders not land tricks at Street League and Dew Tour.
